It was freezingly cold today... Woke up by Kay's txt and got to sit the Chinese Language class, which I was like 30 minutes late... Anyway, saw that they had some difficult readings, and enjoyed reading out mandarin with them much... I think I will keep on sitting this class as it do me some good. Plus, the coursework for his course is quite heavy too... Got a ABA (American Born Asian) new friend. Indeed, he's a mixed from Jap and Korea, and most of all, quite good looking... ARGH but sounds too young for me... >< Anyway, he's funny...
Had lunch with Bird, Sue, Sian and the new friend at the canteen... Ah, Bird is really sort of cartoon character and keep doing silly things... Yet, he's really nice and sweet =)
Back to GBJ to try to start off my business class hk... SHIT, totally duno how to use bloomberg to search... I think I won't hand it in so early this time... Met up wif Prof Jin at 2pm, had a nice chat with him and hope that we can work happily... Back dorm and saw his email... Haaaa, gotta reply him too... he's so nice...
Me up wif Jen at the E gate, got a hot choco at starbucks as it's really TOO cold... then we start off to 中關村e世界... bought 25DVD at $40, but seems the DVD dun works well, anyway going to bring it back and ask Meaning for help... the korean brand speaker HYUNDAI looks well too... we use our 講價 skills and paid for $40... buying stuff in China is so terrible!!
Been to Carrefour afterall and I bought finally the cloth hanger costing me only $60!! =) also bought myself 3 pairs of leggings... god its soooo cold here... maybe i will need blanket later too >< Plus, I beg I will bought myself a table lamp too...

080923 :: Jap food Order at Dorm
Started my Ethics class at 8am daydreaming for nearly an hour... I just can't get my brain works and concertrate on what's the professor's saying... Feeling much better after some warm up and raised my hand twice for class participation... Write or not to write, depends, more to my personal safety... Anonymous is also a way out for me... Anyway...
Forgot that my Econ teacher is out of town, and met Prof Guo accidentally and had some chat with her at her office. She showed me to her students, and her student Michael showed me on the journalism school library and all the other rooms, so as the school's library... Had a nice lunch with Prof Guo and the gang... Wow, I love the 黃金楠瓜 soooooo much, it taste soooo gd!! Besdies, Prof Guo is really so nice, loved her much =) She's 56, and had a son same age as me...
Tried to pay for my Tsinghua email and back to GBJ for the Business Jounalism class. I was claimed by Prof Zhou that I was the 1st to hand in Kay's Interview Exercise... Wow!! Anyway, the class is quite boring, and I nearly falled asleep... Keep worrying about the Dance Party discussion session with Automobile Faculty all the afternoon, and was finally saved by Paul... Tkz!

080922 :: Beijing Movie Tour City
Woken up by the sunshine broke through my curtains this morning... It was still raining madly yesterday but now I saw a clear blue sky.
Since Monday is a day off, I get changed promptly, brought my sheep, caught a taxi, and go straight to the "Beijing Movie Tour City" which I discovered from the Beijing Guide book. The taxi driver sounds don't know the way, and we have bypassed the site that it took me 10 minutes to walk back... Anyway, $20 trip only, quite close to Tsinghua...
It cost me $60 to get my entree ticket. Afterall I start taking pictures for my sheep. The staff there told me that I need to follow a tour group when visiting the city... and I was like mad that I told them I just came in for photos. Anyway, I joined them finally and we did some stupid dubbing exercise, placed a shooting game, then watched a talent show by a 大叔...
The tour group left us and there were still a few people, which the staff brought us for some more activities, including the flying carpet thing in BJ, and the live drama... They shoot these activities and said that a souvenior disc will be sold at $40 each. Mad, and the local people will really pay for that... There was also a room which we can borrow the Tsing dynasty costume and take photos, which cost $10 each for each costume. Be frank, I quite wanna try that, but after re-considering how dirty the clothes were, I gave up.
Spent like 3 hours at the site and going here and there for photos. Afterall I tried to walk to the 大鐘寺 station, and being 老點 by pedestrian from time to time. I bypassed a furinture warehouse, and was amazed by things they sold inside... Anyway, safely back to Wudao Kou around 4pm and go for body massage again... god, my waist feel like broke!! Tried to reach Jen, but she said she will be late for class so I decided to feed myself with a bowl of Beef rice... Taste no bad and the set cost $22.5, which is also my 1st meal for today...
When I was about to finish my rice, Jen called me and said she's leaving... Gosh, if you tell me earlier, I am going for Jap food with you!! Anyway, I still bring her to the Jap Rest I disovered today after I visited Watson's. Watson's, why no nail cleaner there?
Jen ordered a Salmon fish rice while I got a Seafood shabu-shabu... Taste not bad and since she owed me money, she paid the meal... Ride my bike back to dorm afterall... Terribly tired!
jEz leaving to London tonite... and webcam-ed wif her, finally... But you know, I so jonathan NAKED!! YEEEEEE...

080921 :: 798
Catch up wif Jen ard 1030 for visiting the C5ART... though I did the preparation, it was closed because of preparing the opening of a new exhibiion... OMG... We took taxi there to 798... Had our lunch wif some HK style food and hang around in some galleries... Indeed, I think it will take me at least 2 days to finish the site... it juz too big..Since Jen haf to back campus for dinner, we leave around 4 and go back by taxi... and it started to rain... God, luckily we catch up for taxi, as the rain becomes so fierce when we are safe inside the cab... I finally planned to leave my bike at Wudoukau and see by back, and back dorm straight... Left Jen at the E gate with my umbrella too.
Didn't out for dinner of being too lazy... I did some TV, some internet browering, some phone calls, some readings... and drank a cup of hot choco, a cup of hot tea, half cup of honey... and ate a Nissin cup noodle, biscuits, chips, and some popcorns during the nigt... Ah... it's really neccessary to have some "snacks" in my room...
Hope it's not raining tmr then I can be out for some fun...

080920 :: BBQ gathering
Went to the bbq party at 11am this morning, and itz quite amazing that we have 15 students from the GBJ 08 class going (including both local and international student)
When we arrived Eily's home, we found out that it was bbq x pizza gathering... Naaa, we had sausage, chinese sausage, chicken wing, beef balls, and MUTTON for the bbq part, adding 5 more pizzas... And indeed, the pizza taste great! Indeed, I felt a bit sick when they cut the cake, duno for what reason, just feeling terribly dizzy and hide into toilet ><
Went to Paul's house watching Sex and the City with Siupak, Anna and Jackie afterall... and we 4 back to Wudao Hau by taxi... Siupak planned to ride me back to the NE gate, and of coz I rejected and wandered around at the shopping centre... got lip balm at Watson's and afterall caught up with Jen and Caf for dinner at the canteen.
We had bowling after dinner... HAHA $13 only for a match, including the shoes... NOT BAD =)

080919 :: slept till noon
This is the 1st day in BJ that I slept till noon... HEHE... sweet bed!!
Tkz mom for supporting me to buy my mattress... i feel so gd everynight now =)
No class today and did wake up a 8sth, saw the sky, a bit dull, and back to bed again. One reason that I was quite tired of always sleep late wake early... + even if I go out, the photos will not be too nice today... So beter wait till Monday~! HAAA~~~
When I was up, I tried to finish the interview report for Kay, the Korean girl. We have to hand in this class interview before midnight on Sunday, and cant believe I finished it today. I was too lazy and didnt make my lunch I planned (tuna fish on biscuit)... finally end up with a choco cake pie...
It was 4pm when everything's done, and I ride my bike to the GBJ and hand in he supervisor form to Limei... She told me that Prof Gao has taken me already. O good... They said, she's a good grandma!! HAHA... Since I dated Caf and Jen for dinner at 530, I went to the facial shop... I finally end up wif my treatment at 630... argh sorry!! And we make our way to the hotpot shop close to Jen's house... Gosh, that'sa sheep hotpot shop... though we ordered no sheep there, I smell loads of it >< Yet still a gd dinner, and $70...
Did some shopping in Wallmart again, and bought some Nivea cream... it's really too dry here in BJ... Gosh, I need to put more things on my skin... We finally decided to take taxi to E Gate and ride our bike back to dorm... Caf spent long to find her bike at the parking area... HAAAA...
Home and found out the Aida musical will be showing in Nov... will book tix and watch wif Jen and Caf... Tried my instant hot choco finally, taste really gd!!!
Haaa, I started to like the life here...

080918 :: Wudao Hau Mall
Started to get used to the life at Tsinghua...
Woke at 725 and back to class at 8 for the English News Reporting & Writing. Ai, I do feel very very stressed everytime when they asked me to write a story, or a piece of report... >< just that I have no idea on how to make it looks professional... Today's class exercise really killed a lot of cells of mine... quick interview and quick to hand in the news report... mad..!!
It's followed by the Corporate Commnications class, which made me feeling much much more comforatable as these are more about marketing. HAHA... 1st time to answer a question here!!! I think I really know loads more than the normal journalists on the field... Yeah (and finally) Since I really hope my final paper can be focused on communications rather than journalism, I sent a email to the professor to ask if she will be intrested to pick me.
Had lunch with Nicole and Lily, my Chinese classmate... and again, they are sooo nice =) Back to dorm and recieved Kay's message... tried to reach Marsha but she said she will be free at like 230... Anyways, we go to the GBJ for our interview exercise afterwards. I think it's quite cool... Erm, and, when am I going to deal with the story? Deadline is Sunday's midnight...
Had dinner with Jen at the Wudao Hau Mall, which indeed called U Centre... Quite a look of gd food there, and Jen keep saying that it's like HK's mall so much... And I saw my Sheep's shop there too, though the sheeps look not too nice... Went to supermarket again... HAAAA I quite like going to BJ's supermarket, much to shop =)
We dine at a Korean restaurant at the top level of the mall, and with student discount too... WAHAHAAA... only $30 each but we had v gd korean BBQ!! with icecream and watermelon too...

080917 :: Paralympics Marathon
Woke up before 6 today and gone to the Bird Nest for the paralympics marathon... it's quite cold in the morning, and there's no taxi downstairs that I have to walk to the gate... I think the taxi driver saw me and stop by, and the drop me on the road opposite to the bird nest... Luckily it's not too hard to find the entrance there... 
Took like 600 pictures in the morning... Indeed the event was quite boring in the opening, as the marathon starts at Tianamen and ends at the stadium... There were just shows before the atheletes arrive... And the whole thing was quite stupid, cause the official route of the marathon will bypass Tsinghua's W gate and to the S... So y am I here but not inside campus to watch the event...
Anyway, I did have much fun with my sheep... Took a good seat as I was "alone"... The guy sitting next to me was so nice... He saw me "alone" and treated me a choco cake as my breakfast... it was after 1.5hrs when the 1st wheelchair marathon athlete arrived... I think, they are really great, no legs, so do everything with their hands only. There I saw an athlete entered the stadium and dropped onto the floor with his wheelchair... If not he may become one of the third. 
The most memorable moment was when I the China's athlete running along, and I thought he's the second, yet, he's the first in his event. That's really been great to see a China's athlete being the champion... We screamed, and we see him taking his gold medal on stage, so as seeing the China flag and singing the National Athem at the bird next.
Brought my sheep to the highest row of the stadium to take photos too... Beside's we had a sausage =) I left the park by MTR, and arriving 五渡口 at 1230... Had a pizza like thing plus a hot choco as my lunch at a cafe... taste not bad la =) Then took taxi back to GBJ, meet up with classmate and go to the health forum together...
I felt soooo sleepy and being so stressed as I totally don't know how to write my HW... The health forum took us around 2 hours and I go back to dorm and had a nap... Remembered wrongly that the dinner was at 615, untl Hoey called me at 535 and woke me up... OOOOO... >< The food is quite gd this time, quite happy with this free dinner... Cafrany suggested to find something to do tonight, yet I still have my 500 words report not yet started, I left early and rushed for it in my room. Takes me around 1.5 hour and then we went to footie... Feeling quite happy now and should go to bad... Hope can do some short trip in the weekend!!

080916 :: Hotpot at ghost street
My first class start at 8 today, Ethics in Journalism, seems not too easy... well, I was the 2nd one arriving the classroom this morning... and itz raining outside... 1st time riding a bike under the rain... and is soooooo freezingly cold!! The class sounds quite difficult... Anyway, gotta take it as that's mandatory...
The I sit for the Econ class and was very happy that it's just stuff I have leart before... Maybe I should really get my advisor earlier and ask if I should take 6 course in this sem.
Had lunch with Hannah and friends in the canteen... I quite like this girl, she's sooo nice =) Anyway, I back dorm for a nap before my next class at 220pm... Argh the Business in Jorunalism writing sounds not easy again. And we are going to hand in an interview homework by weekend, so as to prepare group presentation. Mine scheduled on the 2nd week of Dec with my buddy Victoria...
Left campus with Paul, Hannah, Maisy and going to meet up Eily for Dinner... Since we were a bit early, and I kept ywaning that I was so hungry, Paul suggested to go for a drink or some food... There we called Eily, and she told us that there's Hagaan Das close to her house. Spent so much time finding the store, unsuccessful... and we finally took our food at starbucks... HAHA HOT CHOCO taste gd there... and cheesecake too!! tkz~~!
Met up with Eily and she asked us to follow their taxi to Ghost Street for Hotpot... Had quite a big meal with another 2 c hing... we 7 people end up with $538 for the bill... Didn't pay as Paul paid for we 3 gals... He drove up back to Tsinghua, first, as Eily showed him a wrong way when we left Ghost Street... Saw Tianmoon at night... HAAAAA~~~ a good ride and did had some fun =)
Chatted with Mrs Tam on phone, and asked to if she wants to find me, call my hk number, then I can call back... AAAH, hopes she finds this much better...

080915 :: 1st day of school
Woke up at 7sth in the morning for the Journalism School Opening Ceremony... They dated to leave the GBJ building at 820 and walk there... Since this is a big event, I decided to dress a bit more smart... You know, this is the first time in my life riding my bike with high heels... When I was on the bike at Bldg 5, I saw the group there... Limei asked me to park my bike there and I joined the group to the venue...
The whole school was there, undergraduate, postgradue, doctoral and all of the faculty staff were all in the hall... After singing our national athem, and an introduction by Prof Li, the student speaker so as the faculty staff made their speech. It tooks us more than and hour. Afterall I greeted professor Chou, who's from HKU and helped me loads to settle my Eng language course issue...
Afterall Limei asked me to go to her office to find her... She asked me for my certificate that we can go together to the postgraduate school office to talk about my language course issue... OK, how will I have my certificate with me? I asked if she could wait for me thus I can go back to my dorm to get it. There I saw Michael, who asked me to help him on the course selection stuff as he read no Chinese. I spent some time with him and Bird joined... It takes me more than half an hour, then I go back to my room, take my cornflakes breakfast, and back to find Limei again...
When I arrived, she said the staff may not be in there office now... she asked if we could do it in the afternoon, hey, you should know I will have class, right? The problem was finally fixed when I explained to her what has happened, and that my English language course is in the 已確定 status (y don't it use WAIVED?)
Anyway, since everything's settled, I ride my bike to the bicycle doctor which he said it is alright. I then posted the post card... and God, NO STAMP becoz of miscommunications with the staff there... Visited the phone shop and then go straight to the China Bank at the E Gate to pick my Olympics ticket...
Spent some time at the Science park and had my lunch at 田野家... yes, which happens inside is 50% similar to the HK's 吉野家... I had a bowl of noodles and an awful cup of soya bean milk... It's too sweet... In the afternoon, I went was at the GBJ building siting 2 classes, the 'muilti media business reporting' and 'opinion and news commentary'... I think I will take th first one next year, while the second one seems tooooo difficual for me at the moment.

She's doing renovation for her room with 2 of her friends... When my housework is done, I went down to the buffet canteen for dinner... $15, though quite expensive as in the campus, it looks and tastes better...
Asked Hoey for the massage thing and ran straight to 華清家圓 for footie... My legs looked swollen and tired for the whole day... >< Quite happy with the student discount of $58 for 90 minutes... and the c fu is not bad =)
Quite happy tonight and bought a cow leather scandals accidentally... It's too comfortable... the staff said all their products will have lifelong maintenance for free... quite attractive, rite, and since its on sale, $148 only... HAHA... too happy but I should be more 慳家!!

The whole school was there, undergraduate, postgradue, doctoral and all of the faculty staff were all in the hall... After singing our national athem, and an introduction by Prof Li, the student speaker so as the faculty staff made their speech. It tooks us more than and hour. Afterall I greeted professor Chou, who's from HKU and helped me loads to settle my Eng language course issue...
Afterall Limei asked me to go to her office to find her... She asked me for my certificate that we can go together to the postgraduate school office to talk about my language course issue... OK, how will I have my certificate with me? I asked if she could wait for me thus I can go back to my dorm to get it. There I saw Michael, who asked me to help him on the course selection stuff as he read no Chinese. I spent some time with him and Bird joined... It takes me more than half an hour, then I go back to my room, take my cornflakes breakfast, and back to find Limei again...
When I arrived, she said the staff may not be in there office now... she asked if we could do it in the afternoon, hey, you should know I will have class, right? The problem was finally fixed when I explained to her what has happened, and that my English language course is in the 已確定 status (y don't it use WAIVED?)
Anyway, since everything's settled, I ride my bike to the bicycle doctor which he said it is alright. I then posted the post card... and God, NO STAMP becoz of miscommunications with the staff there... Visited the phone shop and then go straight to the China Bank at the E Gate to pick my Olympics ticket...
Spent some time at the Science park and had my lunch at 田野家... yes, which happens inside is 50% similar to the HK's 吉野家... I had a bowl of noodles and an awful cup of soya bean milk... It's too sweet... In the afternoon, I went was at the GBJ building siting 2 classes, the 'muilti media business reporting' and 'opinion and news commentary'... I think I will take th first one next year, while the second one seems tooooo difficual for me at the moment.

080914 :: Paralympics Basketball
Woke up around 10 today and hang out wif Cafrany at 1130...
We ride our bike from the NE gate to 五渡口, then park our bike and take off to 天意商城 by MTR... Ya, that's my first ride at the BJ MTR!!! As described by her roomate, the place we are going to is quite suitable for HK gals shopping... Feeling quite excited, yet when we arrived, the place there look quite strange... The exterior of the building is look like a Mainland Theme Park, while inside, is indeed a place which feels quite like SZ shopping mall... Things there are quite cheap, with many fake product which look indeed quite REAL... I finally bought 3 belt, 2 notebook (1 for jEz), and some needlework pack for mom... All spent within $100... Besides, we had our lunch at the foodcourt there too... taste not bad and we had 串燒 too...
The moment we decided to left and go to the Olympic park, Cafrany find out that she forgot to bring her DC battery out... So we took Taxi back to her dorm, and I waited for her to grab back her battery... When she's back, we found out that she left her phone too at her dorm... so we drove back again for her to pick up her fone...
Since her roomate suggested us to take MTR as there will be security check for all people, we go to 五渡口 again to take the MTR... God, we toke more than an hour to arrive the park... And there are sooo many people there... It was already 5pm when we arrived... There were loads of people...
As the Wheelchair Basketball match start at 7pm, we decided to walk around and take some photos... It was around 630 that we entered the National Indoor Stadium (the one for gymnastic event previously) as for the event... It takes us a long time to find a good seat... Our match was Australia VS UK, which as described in the Official Spectator Guide, Australia was a strong team in advance. The beat of the match is quite fast, we don't really feeled bored. I bought a popcorn inside the statium too...
We left the stadium before the match ends, as anyway, Australia will win and that's only a semi final match. The sky went dark when we left the stadium, and there we took many a lot of the Bird Nest and the Water Cube's night scene... It's amazing... Yet, suddenly there was a strong wind blowing along... We decided to left as we can't take any pictures with all our hair flying around... During our long walk back to the MTR station, we saw lightning and thunder, and felt a few drops of rain... With no more than 10 minutes (we are still looking for the MTR entrance), the rain suddenly drop fiercely, and all the people were running to the MTR entrance together... That's mad, and we just felt like we are the refugees running to a safe place... Our coats were all wet when we entered the MTR gate... and all the people are pushing each other... Yes, can you believe this sort of things can happen to a paralympic audience? URGH, really not a good experience...
Anyway, we finally got our way onto the train and back to 五渡口 for dinner. Take a 石頭飯 at a Korean Restarant as I insisted to have something which can keep myself warm... $30 only and taste quite well... Gonna visit again =) Then we ride our bike back to our dorm... And that's it for today...

080913 :: Excursion
Since this is the 1st Saturday I had in Tsinghua, I planned to do some excursion in the HaiDing District... And God, I woke up like 11pm and started out late...
The first thing I got to do is to get a "Octopus" card for bus and train... it is called "一卡通" here... As suggested on the travel guide, I got to the post office and asked for it... Mad, waited for so long and they told me that they don't have it... And the lady there asked me to go to the 中信銀行 at the S Gate... So I drove over there, and took off from my bike at the Gate... Damn!! The bank was so far away from the gate, and it is much close to the E Gate... She 老點 me... >< Anyway, got to the bank and tried to ask for a Student 一卡通 but they told me that they just have the standard card... Damn Again!! Where should I find the Student one...? Then they told me I need to go to the Zoo Station... Chi gun, its sooooo far away... I was so fed up and finally end up with the standard version... OK, will change it later when I getting used to all these odd things happening in BJ!! Tried to ask on the insurance stuff, yet no one is able to answer me... SHIT again!! Anyways...
I saw a fusion HK and French food restaurant during my way when looking for that stupid bank... Tried to get there but the buildng was built stupidly too... I can't find the entrance and kept walking around... Anyway, finally figure out the way, yet the restaurant was fully booked becase of a wedding event... I end up with having my lunch at a Cafe, which I had a fried seafood undo and tasted quite good... $35 and indeed quite expensive...
I got my bike and travel to the Lotus department store at the E gate... Saw a Snoppy wallet yet end up didnt buying it... Then I wandered around the Supermarket... Bought an Oxford dictionary, a pack of honey and also a pack of cornflakes... I tried to find the facial shop as recommended by Judy, and got inside for a try... I end up buying a very expensive package for 32 times at 1,600... Sorry mom, I think I am spending too much, yet my skin is really in quite a bad condition here ><
Back to my room and watched some Mandarin cartoons... Erm, I beg that's a good way to train up my listening skills...
Felt so hungry at 730 and got down to that buffet canteen, which they told me that it's closed... Shit again... Fly my bike to the ZiJiang canteen (starting to close too) and spent $4.6 for a bowl of spicy minced pork noodles + a soya egg... Taste not bad (especially the soya egg) though it looks not too good.
Did a night excursion in the Tsinghua campus after dinner as I would like to do some exercise... Didn't have a map this time so just travel with my instance... End up getting to a new place, the N gate, and found out that there's a bbq restaurant outside the gate... Since I had my dinner already, I will take a try later at this restaurant... It's smells quite appetizing =)
Will get out with Cafrany tomorrow... Bird have sent me his dissertation, and I am reading through... which is 130+ pages long... Well, it's quite new to me, and feeling a bit nervous on how to write out such things in next year...

080912 :: CRI visit
Woke up very early today to join the China Radio International office visit. That's quite interesting, especailly that we looked quite like the VIPs during the visit. They organized a brief introduction and a Q&A session in the beginning, and let us around their office and functions room... CRI is indeed an organization started in 1941, broadcasting in English channels about China over the world. It was till 1984 that they launch their domestice service, and financially supported by the goverment by now... I switched to their channel during my return journey to Tsinghua... Their boardcasting style is more interesting then what I expected... Not so much "announcement" yet feel quite like the HK radio channels yet in mandarin.. =)Did a buffet lunch with classmates at the Internation Student Dorm Canteen... The food taste quite good and cost less than $20 per head!! Afterall I backed my dorm and did a big thing... Which I clicked to the Paralympic website and booked a ticket at the Bird Nest... The official site is not user friendly, which tooks me so much time to manage the booking online. Anyway, I got a $30 ticket watching the Marathon finals on Wed morning (17/9)... I did try to see if I can get a closing ceremony ticket, yet of coz, it's all full... Besides, most of the programs were fulled too. I think the only reason that my Marathon ticket can be book is that the time slot is really not too good... It's started at 730 in the morning... HAHA beg I will take taxi there!!
Was a bit late for the Bloomberg class in the afternoon, as I got lost in the campus... Anyway, was sooooo sleepy and kept "fishing"... Afterall I go to the bicycle shop where I bought my bike yesterday. Indeed, after the long ride I found out that my bike is indeed quite big for me, and my hands are so tired when driving long... erh... the shop keeper helped me to fixed a bit and now it feels much better... I have bought some fruit today, yeah!
Had a tea at the QQ Fastfood, which is recommened by Caf for a try... HA, amazing... You know, everything's inside juz the same as McDonald's... TIC!!! Copy Cat... It has the kind of menu, uniform, packaging and even the LOGO sooo damn similar to McDonald's... GOD!
Since I have dated Ann for dinner, I run straight to her dorm and meet up with her... I passed her a Cap for her mug, and gave her a cup noodle... HAHA... no hand letter brought from HK, and anyway, that's gonna be a nice try for her on Nissin's product! And in exchange, she gave me 3 mini mooncakes... Afterall we go to the ZiJiang Canteen for dinner... Just like last time, we shared some food together, and ate the watermelon... She invited me to join the talk with her at night... So we got to Bldg 5 together... That's a talk for postgraduate student on how to make use of their life at Tsinghua... As we are a bit late, we stood outside the lecture room, and since it's all in Mandarin, I was like daydreaming as I can get only 50% of what the speaker said... MAD!!! DIM SUEN???Anyway, that's really a nice experience... and I should start to figure out how to learn better Mandarin ASAP...
Went to supermarket with Ann and go back to dorm... quite tired today...

Wake up early today's morning and joined Professor Shi Anbin Introduction Seminor at 9am... Urgh... Taxi again... Should buy a bike today...
Have a more cool picture on the course selection issue, and I feel that Prof SA is quite a funny guy. He studied in US for many years and speak gd English... Afterall, that's a course selection session and we have spent so much time to settle everything. I had helped some classmates to work out the Chinese system, as both of the teaching staff are quite mad... Indeed, I think they should really teach us in a better way on using the system... Anyway...
Asked Limei on my English course issue again, and she seems doesn't want to entertain me today. Called over to Prof SA and he had helped me to sign my form during lunch. Indeed, I have had lunch with Bird, Paul, and the African gangs in the canteen... Well, my classmates are really nice... and Bird come over to pick me and lead me through the dining hall too...
Back to GBJ building at 2pm for another session of introduction by Prof Li... Wa, he's really a very knowlegable guy... Being questioned in the intoductory session of asking me to be "specific"... eee... Anyway, met the local student today too, who speaks gd english and are all very friendly... Hope someone will teach me gd Mandarin in the coming months...
Afterall caught Paul for my new bike... $260... and anyway, just that I need it... Bought some food in the supermarket with my new bike, and learn that I cannot apply for the Tsinghua Credit Card as I do not have a BJ ID card... urgh, wasn't my HK MACAU TAIWAN card have all the same functions?

080910 :: new matress
Woke up early this morning and joined the Bloomberg training. Erm... that's a system where you can search every single piece of financial news in the world... Yet, not too user friendly, and I beg it still takes me some time to manage it well for my assignment...
Afterall tried to approach the postgraduate student affairs office on my language issue. Well, that's a must that they gotta treat me like international students, otherwise I gotta hand in all papers in Chinese... (No way, I dun want to fail ALL), and of course, no conclusion and have to wait for tomorrow.
Joined Paul(Aussie), Paul(HK), and Jonnathan(Zimbabwe)for lunch... =) Had a nice meal at a cafe inside the campus... Paul(HK) introduced us the professor of the faculty as for our advisor... He's so nice, and promised to get me a bicycle tomorrow when all orientations finished...
Back to dorm and got my new matress!! Yeah~~~ Also bought a room phone card and the washing machine card... Afterall I run back to GBJ building for the course orientation at 230... then meet up with the postgraduate student affairs office staff again of showing them my degree certificate... Kinda annoying, which they asked me to fill in a form suddenly... and need to seek for professors approval...
Arrive the computer lab before it closed and asked the staff there to fix my network connection... It's kinda annoying as my new NB always cannot detect the Tsinghua network... besides, we found out that the network doesnt allow Xanga... MAD!!
Back dorm again by school bus... and called over to order the water... yes, I now have 30 barrels of water, and I know that unless I bought this thing to my dorm, I wont drink loads of water... anyway, its not to expensive...

080909 :: 1st trail at SZ Airport
Back from HKG last night throught the SZ flight. Its much better than what I expected, though strange things happened, yet, TIC!!!
Grandad insisted to bring me to the Kowloon Station for my SZ Airport coach... anyway, he arrived home at 315 in the afternoon and there we caught a taxi going to Kowloon Station... The taxi driver is very very BAD... He drove us through Princess Margarent Road, and got us to the highway to Hung Hom, and we arrived E TST and bypassed the Cultural Centre, and he brought us back to Kln Station finally from the TST direction. Of coz I did ask him where he's bringing us to... and he said he's trying to avoid the traffic jam at Austin Road and got us a "faster route"... it takes us 20 minutes for the whole journey... and does it really been faster? Shit! Anyway, when grandad was insisting to pay the taxi driver, I started my fight with this bad guy. I told him $72.8 is enough for me to go to Causeway Bay if there is no traffic jam, and $40+ is already the most I have paid for this route... I think he then started to realized that I am not just a *mui mui jai*... and I finally paid him $50... (guys, that's a Call Taxi, KK9860, beware of the cunning driver!)
It takes me 1h40min to arrive SZ Airport, yet, it's still so early and I have been waiting for sooooo long before my flight. Vincent called me and said he's coming to farewell me. Frankly, I thought he was joking... as I told him I am flying in SZ rather than CLK... The SZ Airport is much nicer than that I expected. Since Vincent didnt answer my call, I got inside for the immigration check and wander around in the shops at the waiting area. There I go a surprising call from him which saying that he arrived... OMG, is he MAD? I asked the customs, and they let me go out and meet up with him... He brought me a big bag of snacks, with chips, cup noodles, candies, and even MOONCAKE... He said I must in need of these HK food... OMG! how can you be that SWEET!!! And there he asked me to study hard.. HAHA =)
I arrived BJ at 2310, and there was quite a long queue there for Taxi... Back to dorm, got my stuff tided up and found out that I missed my bag of medicine... ARGH!!!!! Finger crossed that I wont get sick in the coming 2 weeks ><
Since there is no hot water after 2400... I had a freezing shower in the mid night!!!

Grandad insisted to bring me to the Kowloon Station for my SZ Airport coach... anyway, he arrived home at 315 in the afternoon and there we caught a taxi going to Kowloon Station... The taxi driver is very very BAD... He drove us through Princess Margarent Road, and got us to the highway to Hung Hom, and we arrived E TST and bypassed the Cultural Centre, and he brought us back to Kln Station finally from the TST direction. Of coz I did ask him where he's bringing us to... and he said he's trying to avoid the traffic jam at Austin Road and got us a "faster route"... it takes us 20 minutes for the whole journey... and does it really been faster? Shit! Anyway, when grandad was insisting to pay the taxi driver, I started my fight with this bad guy. I told him $72.8 is enough for me to go to Causeway Bay if there is no traffic jam, and $40+ is already the most I have paid for this route... I think he then started to realized that I am not just a *mui mui jai*... and I finally paid him $50... (guys, that's a Call Taxi, KK9860, beware of the cunning driver!)
It takes me 1h40min to arrive SZ Airport, yet, it's still so early and I have been waiting for sooooo long before my flight. Vincent called me and said he's coming to farewell me. Frankly, I thought he was joking... as I told him I am flying in SZ rather than CLK... The SZ Airport is much nicer than that I expected. Since Vincent didnt answer my call, I got inside for the immigration check and wander around in the shops at the waiting area. There I go a surprising call from him which saying that he arrived... OMG, is he MAD? I asked the customs, and they let me go out and meet up with him... He brought me a big bag of snacks, with chips, cup noodles, candies, and even MOONCAKE... He said I must in need of these HK food... OMG! how can you be that SWEET!!! And there he asked me to study hard.. HAHA =)
I arrived BJ at 2310, and there was quite a long queue there for Taxi... Back to dorm, got my stuff tided up and found out that I missed my bag of medicine... ARGH!!!!! Finger crossed that I wont get sick in the coming 2 weeks ><
Since there is no hot water after 2400... I had a freezing shower in the mid night!!!

080903 :: Body Check
Woke up early today and hurry to the body check centre... That's been quite a far distance from my dorm... Didn't take breakfast and lined up for nearly an hour only for registration. Then they told me that I cannot pay with EPS / credit card, and asked me to go to the bank for cash. SHIT!
Totally don't know the way... and there I met a little boy (18yrs old) in uniform... I asked him where I can get cash and he brought me to the bank!! On the way he asked if how old I am, and I beg he was REALLY SHOCKED of knowing my real age there. Anyway, this brought me the first experience of using the China ATM... and I took 1K RMB!!! Mad!!
Paid the staff and started off my "check point like" body check. There are many foriegners around. I first go for the blood test, then the Xray, blood pressure check, eye sight check, heart beat check and finally taking on my weght. They said my report will be ready in a week, and I have asked them to mail it back to my dorm.
Didn't really take anything and go straight back to Tsinghua as I don't want to missed the orientation talk. I asked the driver to drop me at the Tsinghua middle market, and did some excurtion. There I bought an egg and a pack of milk as my lunch. Mad! Cost < 5RMB... Then I started off to my faculty building for the talk and get lost again on the way. (I was in the right direction, just can't see the main road!!) When I arrived, I found out the the location should be in Bldg 5... URGH, gotta run over again...
The Orientation talk is extremely boring... These people don't know how to use powerpoint. Gosh... And there was a funny incidence that the Chinese language tutor was asked for a speech, which he suggested to use Mandarin for the presentation. All the foriegners thought that was a joke, but YES! He did it in Mandarin, which quite a lot doesn't know what's he's trying to introduce.
Learnt that there was a stupid arrangement that I have to take "English Language Course" in Tsinghua. That must be a joke too! I definately need a Chinese Language Course rather than an English ones. Who set these stupid rules for HK student? How can you guys doesn't know that we really leak the Chinese training? I suppose I will be treated as the international student after consulting my subject staff.. Anyway, I will miss the Chinese Language Exam tomorrow night, and let's see what's gonna happen further!
Gone to Main Building again with my new NB... the staff there are very nice and helped me to settle the internet problem. Yet, they feel quite new to he English Vista (as read from the face)... Blaaa, anyway, I am here now online!!!
Took school bus and back to dorm for my NB fixing. Afterall, I took school bus out to E Gate and bought something at Watson's... (It was originally planned to buy the wet tissue for Ms Wong)... Afterall I walked back to the Main Building to attend the school opening ceremony for postgradauates 2008... Em, quite amazing, and TIC again! What's that song indeed? I don't know how to sing!!
Catch up with the IKEA gang after the ceremony, and bought some stuff... I was very satisfied of getting the mattress, which will be delivered to my room next Wed Afternoon!!! Tkz MOM!!! Besides, I applied also the IKEA CARD... HAHA!!
Got home right before 2300... and bed now!!

080902 :: Registration Day
Met up with Hoey before 8 in the morning, and we had breakfast at the Motel... Haa, I got 2 breakfast coupon with me. Anyway, checked out after breakfast and he drove me back to my dorm and dropping off my luggage.
He then got me to the 6th Building and left me for the registry. Totally lost on the route and things that I have to do. No direction sign, no clear tips on what I need to do... TIC*TIBJ!!! Finally figure out where to get my IC Card (Student Card) and started my queue there in the building's 1/F... Mad, so many people, and so messed up!! No Signs, no system... blaaa... anyway, the long waiting experience got me a pretty friend from Hunan, who's coming here for a doctoral degree. She's sooooo nice, and I really dunno how come she can communicate with me with me CRAPPY MANDARIN...
We do the registration together, and I stay with her for her BJ ID Card (coz she's not BJ people, she need to apply for the BJ ID; while that my 會鄉證 is indeed = BJ ID... so premium!) Afterall, she goes with me to my department, looking for my subject staff and asking them on what I have been missing out to do. Unfortunately my subject coordinator is out of office...
Afterall, she suggested me to have lunch with her. We walked to her dorm at #31, and she was in a double room. The environment of her dorm is not too good. There was a 2 level bed made with iron steel, and she has already settled down... Her roomate was there, who just arrived the room, and feeling shocked with the it... She said, "So we are going to live in this room for 5 years?" ya, should be 5 years for their doctoral degree... and I really cannot imagine if that's happened to me. There was also a toilet in their room, which was quite dirty... I saw a shower, yet Ann told me that it doesn't have hot water. That means, they need to go to the common bathroom in case they need to bath (I will further explain this when I tried out later, as I also got the bath card!!) Gosh!
I have dropped my heavy folder on Ann's table, and there we go to the canteen for food. The gal is really nice, keep saying that she will pay the meal... Maybe I really look so young and she thought I am really sister of hers... The food in the canteen is cheap, and taste not too bad... Indeed, I think it will take some time for me to try out everything there... Anyway, that's really a nice experience to dine out there... So China, and so much of what a real canteen should look like...

There she found her email account number, and took out her notebook and tried to log on to the internet. Seems Tsinghau server has blocked quite a lot of the worldwide links... She even lent me her notebook for fun and taught me on QQ songs... HAHA, she's so sweet, right?
Since my subject staff has called me to pick my email account number in that afternoon at her office, I left Ann and go back to the GBJ building. Finally met the nice lady who has helped me on so many things especially my accomodation. Thanks her, and double check with her on anything else I have missed out. She asked me to go for body check tomorrow morning off campus... and that also solved my internet enquiries...
I walk straight to the Main Building and paid a big amount for the unlimited internet access in the coming 5 months. Afterall, I walked back to Ann's place. She invited me to go to the big supermarket with her outside the school, and since Hoey has dated me too dinner with the HK-ers, we are in quite a hurry... This is the first time I tried the school bus at Tsinghua... Haa, seems quite OK... Finally arrived the E Gate and we walked straight to the supermarket. I bought some cleansing stuff for doing a thorough cleaning of every part of my room. It was quite amazing to stay wif local people, whom they will introduce you lockers, and also the promotions of the store... Afterall, we took Taxi back to block 31, and after packing my things together, I farewelled Ann and started off to my room... God! It's SOOO far and I saw no school bus and taxi. I finally made out of walking back with a heavy box of stuff I just bought today. Beg I gonna be much healthier with these harsh training at Tsinghua...
I started off tidying my room, and Hoey called by asking me to go for the dinner. God! The restaurant was at the SW area, while that I am at the NE. How come Hoey didn't come to pick me? =( Spent some time to catch a taxi downstairs, and was half an hour late when I arrived the restaurant. There I saw around 20 HK-ers, either doing their master or doctoral degree, and also Teacher Tung. Got some new friends and we dated to go to IKEA the next day...
Jennifer got me a ride back to my dorm... Keep tidying my room and took a nice shower at the bathroom... Heeeh, feel so comfortable at the dorm... Tried to login to the internet but failed. Finally start off with my TVB soap opera, and called somebody asking how to flip over the screen ==" Tkz! Finally had a gd sleep with my sheep tonight =)
PS - I have joined the Phoenix miles yesterday, as I believe I will be a frequent CA passenger!! HAAA!!!

080901 :: Arriving BJ
My flight / CA108 arrived BJ International Airport at 2pm...The plane looks good, with Hagen daz ice cream served as desert. =D
Called Hoey when I got my luggage, but no one answered.
While I was still worrying about the phone card, I decided to go straight for a taxi with my 2 big luggages. The Taxi driver is quite nice, he introduced me on the Olympic Stadium during the ride. Arrived Tsinghua NE gate after half an hour, which Hoey has indeed called and noted that "I am arriving SOON"...
The drived stopped me at the International Student Dorm, #23, and I was LOST coz Hoey later told me that he had asked me to wait at the E Gate rather tan the NE... Anyway, after half an hour, I finally saw Hoey in a red car. He droved me back to E gate and bring me to a Motel near the Korean garden. Well... looks really like a Motel... though I was a bit shocked with the setting, we check in and settled my luggage, then run back to the Taiwan Macau HK Student Office to find Teacher Tung as for my dormitories issue.
Met up with Teacher Tung at that "Gung Ji Yuen" building, who looks really like a female farmer in the field. She is the one whom I sent email to, call as Mr Tung and replied me that she is "董女士"... Hoey asked me to start off the topic, and of coz I tried to fight for my room, which she told me that I have to wait till 18/19 Sept, which until all international students have got their room, then I can try to ask if any more can be given to me. Well... if I have to wait till late Sept, why do I have to show up here today? And indeed, she really "can't help". Anyway met up with a Taiwan guy who's also asking for a room here... and was rejected too by Teacher Tung. Hoey told me if I really cannot find a room, he can help me to rent a place to live in. Yet, the point is, that's really a very very worse case...
He drove me for phone card afterall, and also got me a map of the school... God, it's sooooooo big... After registering and activating my phone card, he drove me back to the Motel...
Well, then I have been thinking of askng my subject staff about my accomodation issue. So I called over and she's so nice of asking me to visit the dormitory and ask "right now"... And at the same time, the mobile sales called me, telling that my ID card was left at their shop. SHIT! HOW TO GET BACK THERE?
Anyway, I grab my luggage down and got onto a taxi. I tried to ask the driver to wait for me but then after I have found back my ID card, he's gone. I tried to find the way to the International Student Dorm, but there's no taxi... How to go there with my luggage? SHIT AGAIN! Finally I came over and asked a guy, who's sooooo nice and lead me to the main raod for taxi. He ever go with me for the ride, and told me that I neeed not pay for the taxi fee. WOW! He told me too that he has been studying in HKUST years ago...
Finally arrivd #19 of the International Student Dorm... and run straight to the reception counter. And as predicted, they said I am not eligible for a room there... After a long "fight" they told me that I can have a bed in a double room... and only if I can proof with my subject staff tomorrow that I am eligible for the application, they will consider to give me a single room, while that all single room is FULL!! That's ridiculous! So we fight again... and finally I was made into a AB room sharing the bathroom and pantry with a Korean girl... I paid the full amount with mom's credit card... erm...!!!
Finally got to my room and get the bed sheet fit onto the bed. Very tired already after the long fight, and go straight back to the motel afterall... Get onto internet, and shower, and Hoey called by... updated him my status, and he was kinda shocked... anyway, settled. That night slept NOT really WELL... Luckily, my sheep is with me... ><
