Rehersed the presentation twice before leaving my room... I thought I was late to class... and when I was thinking about how to apologize to everybody before my presentation, I saw Prof Fan walking into the building... Naaa... I was NOT late!!
Projector's problem, killing all the templates of my ppt on the screen (SHIT)... Nervous throughout... but it happens like, everybody appreciated my presentation... Thanks!! Prof Fan, Marcus, Paul, Nikita, Bird, all gave me compliments during the day... =) Class end at 1230, and rushed back to dorm to get change for the next activity...
Saw Lily at the NE gate, and the coach is there waiting for us... It took us 2 hours to arrive the farmer's place (N of great wall, really the suburb)... Rather than saying it as the rural farmer's place, it is more appropiate to describe it as a farmer place for tourist... They have kitchens cooking farmer food for a table of people, and they have beds rented out for people interested to stay overnight... naa~ Prof Dong did say we can stay overnight.. But it ends up we just had a half day visit there...
We first met up with a group of reuters reporters who are doing cultural exchage program there... chatted to them, then we follow them for visiting a local farmer... who's been making creative TOFU (with tomato, carrot, cucumber taste) for her living... Reuters reporters then left for Great Wall, and we went out to 'interview' with a lady selling duck eggs at the souvenior shop!! YES, souvenior shop, so see how commercialized it is!!
After taking some walk in the village, we go back to our first place for dinner... Delicious food, and that's the first dinner together with my dear classmates... and of coz we had loads of fun... Discussing about our Happy Valley amusement park trip, and sharing gossips!! I wished we can have more of these functions together =)Left at 7 and back before 9...
A real exhausted day!!
